​​Rise As One - UAAP Season 85 Opens (Standings and Game Scores)

UAAP Season 85 opened last October 1 with the theme, "Rise As One." Adamson University is the host of the season. The season started with the basketball tournaments for both the men's and women's divisions.

On October 1, women's basketball begins with a game between Adamson and UST. The UST Growling Tigresses won the game with a 36-point difference, the final score being 106-70. Following right after is the UP vs. DLSU match. The ending score was 73-51, with the DLSU Lady Archers leading by 22 points.

Adamson and UST started the games for the men's division as well. The match ended with a 69-60 score, the Growling Tigers taking home the win with a 9-point difference. A score of 72-69 ended the match between UP and DLSU, the UP Fighting Maroons winning by 3 points.

October 2, were matches between NU vs. UE and FEU vs. ADMU. NU and ADMU take home their first win for both the men's and women's divisions.

The NU Lady Bulldogs wins by a wapping 84-point difference, the scoreboard ending with 131-47. The NU Bulldogs also won against the Red Warriors with a 77-70 score. ADMU Lady Eagles won against a tough opponent in the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 67-64. The ADMU Blue Eagles won by 9-points against the feisty FEU Tamaraws, 79-70.

October 5 was the first quadruple-header of the season. DLSU vs. UST, AdU vs. UP, ADMU vs. NU, and UE vs. FEU were the teams that fought against each other.

Women's basketball, UST Growling Tigresses defeats the DLSU Lady Archers, 71-57. The NU Lady Bulldogs had a 37-point win against ADMU Lady Eagles, 89-52. Winning their first win of the season, the FEU Lady Tamaraws won by 12 points against UE, 62-50. The UP Fighting Maroons fought well and also won their first win of the season, 64-56.

Men's basketball, UE Red Warriors, ends their 15-game losing streak with a 10-point win against the FEU Tamaraws, 76-66. The UP Fighting Maroons won against the AdU Falcons, with the scores ending at 87-78. A 20-point difference wins for the DLSU Green Archers ending it at 83-63. ADMU Blue Eagles win against the NU Bulldogs with a score of 77-60.

October 8 were matches of UE vs. AdU and UP vs. FEU. AdU and UP won the games for both divisions. The AdU Lady Falcons and the AdU Soaring Falcons scored their first wins of the season. The Lady Falcons won with a 97-69 score, and the Soaring Falcons with a 13-point difference, 74-61. UP Fighting Maroons wins against the FEU Tamaraws. The Ladies ended the match at 73-56, and the men won the tough match with the score ending at 73-67.

October 9's battles are NU vs. UST and DLSU vs. ADMU. NU won the matches for both games; the NU Lady Bulldogs won by only 3 points against the UST Growling Tigresses, 78-75. While the NU Bulldogs, leading by only 6 points, wins and ends the game at 69-63.

DLSU also wins the matches for both games; The DLSU Lady Archers take home their second win of the season with the final score being 75-67. The Green Archers won a thorough fight against the Ateneo Blue Eagles, ending the game at 83-78.

On October 12, another quadruple-header happened at the UST Quadricentennial Gym. DLSU vs. UE, FEU vs. AdU, ADMU vs. UST, and UP vs. NU were the matches of this day.

Women's basketball, AdU Lady Falcons, defeats the FEU Lady Tamaraws by 34 points, 95-61. The DLSU Lady Archers won the match after defeating the UE Lady Warriors, 76-53. Leading by only 1 point, UST Growling Tigresses defeated the ADMU Lady Eagles, 69-68. The NU Lady Bulldogs achieved a 100-game winning streak after they defeated the UP Fighting Maroons and ended the game with a 35-point lead, 79-44.

Men's basketball, the ADMU Blue Eagles, won with a 27-point difference against the UST Growling Tigers, 79-52. Winning by only 5 points, the NU Bulldogs beats the UP Fighting Maroons, 80-75. A sad loss for the DLSU Green Archers after losing against the UE Red Warriors with the final score of 81-74. The AdU Soaring Falcons won against the FEU Tamaraws and gained their second win of the season, 76-65.

October 15, FEU vs. DLSU and AdU vs. NU are the matchups for the day's games. NU defeats AdU in both of the divisions. The NU Lady Bulldogs as they placed 5-0 on the standings, 100-66. NU Bulldogs won by only 4 points and ended the game at 58-54.

DLSU also defeated FEU in both the men's and women's divisions. The DLSU Lady Archers won their fourth win of the season and scored 65-58 against the FEU Lady Tamaraws. With a 17-point win, DLSU Green Archers defeated the FEU Tamaraws, 87-70.

October 16, the battle of UST vs. UE and UP vs. ADMU. The ladies of UST and Ateneo won against their opponents. UST Growling Tigresses by a wapping 63-point difference against the UE Lady Warriors, 107-44. Meanwhile, the ADMU Lady Eagles won by only 6 points against the UP Fighting Maroons, 67-61.

The UE Red Warriors won their second straight victory of the season against the UST Growling Tigers, 78-68. The UP Fighting Maroons won against the Ateneo Blue Eagles, after 4 quarters and overtime, by only 5 points, 76-71.

Here are the current team standings, as of October 16, 2022, for the women's basketball tournament. The NU Lady Bulldogs take the lead with a straight 5 wins and no losses. Followed up by the UST Growling Tigresses and the DLSU Lady Archers with 4 wins and 1 loss. With a triple tie in their standings, the UP Fighting Maroons, the AdU Lady Falcons, and the ADMU Lady Eagles have 2 wins and 3 losses. The FEU Lady Tamaraws have 1 win and 4 losses. Taking the current last place, the UE Lady Warriors have no wins and 5 losses on their plate.

Now for the current team standings for the men's basketball tournament as of October 16, 2022. The UP Fighting Maroons and the NU Bulldogs share the spot for the current first lead, with 4 wins and 1 loss each. A triple tie for the ADMU Blue Eagles, the UE Red Warriors, and the DLSU Green Archers, with 3 wins and 2 losses. Meanwhile, the AdU Soaring Falcons have 2 wins and 3 losses, placing them in third. The UST Growling Tigers have 1 win and 4 losses. For the bottom spot, the FEU Tamaraws take the spot with no wins and 5 losses in total.
