On Friday, October 4, Centro Escolar Integrated School - Malolos gathered at the CEU Centrodome to celebrate Teachers’ Day. The event was held to show appreciation for the Teachers’ hard work, dedication, and contribution to the students’ lives.

The day was filled with joy and laughter as students and teachers participated in various games like “Know Your Teacher” where in students guessed the teachers based on their catchphrases, “Pinoy Henyo,” testing the teachers’ wits, and “Teachers Versus Students” where eight teachers and eight students faced off in a general information quiz,—both teams displaying their knowledge and competitiveness.

Teachers were asked about the feeling of having an event that celebrates them and their profession of teaching, Mr. Daniel Ray Eramis from the Junior High School Department said: “I’m very happy about it kasi siyempre naa-appreciate nila yung efforts ng bawat teacher lalo ngayon na pagod lahat, kakatapos lang ng exams, hindi pa kami tapos mag-check ng midterms, yung iba nagko-compute na ng grades pero at least… this is not just a celebration but more like a rest for us.”

Additionally, Mr. Cedrick Esguerra of the Senior High School department said: "Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam na kada September hanggang October, sine-celebrate natin ang pagsusumikap at paghihirap ng mga guro para magbigay tanglaw at liwanag sa mga estudyante, lalo na ngayon na kailangang-kailangan nating gabayan sila upang pag-aralan at pagsilbihan ang lipunan."

Supreme Student Government President, Andrea Flores was also asked about the importance of celebrating Teachers’ Day and her overall experience as this marked the first major event that the current SSG managed, she said: “Siyempre to celebrate yung lives ng teachers natin kasi hindi naman tayo mapupunta sa posisyon o grade level natin ngayon kung hindi dahil sa kanila.”

“…Kaya ginawa namin lahat ng makakaya namin as SSG to make sure that everything is well. Pero yun nga, there are still little difficulties and challenges na normal lang naman for an event, and I’m happy na sa first event namin as SSG, we were able to pull everything off, in collaboration with other school organizations." she added.

After the event, teachers and students went to their respective homerooms to continue their celebrations.
