Malolos City - Centro Escolar Integrated School (CEIS) celebrated Teachers’ Day with a program last October 10 at the CEU Centrodome. Face-to-face Teachers’ Day celebration returned after more than two years, bringing joy and laughter to the modern heroes, the teachers.

CEIS staff and students prepared a program to show appreciation for the hard work and sacrifices of the teachers from CEIS. The event highlighted performances from Suprema and Kwerdas, games, and video presentations dedicated to the teachers.

The hosts, Meg Francis Lucas, and Francois Zuriel Biwit started the program by introducing the junior high school and senior high school faculty of CEIS. This was followed by the opening prayer led by Franceline Joy Mangulabnan, the singing of the national anthem, and the opening remarks of Ms. Abigail DC. Espineda.

After the opening remarks, Suprema, the school’s dance troupe, made their comeback with a dance performance dedicated to the teachers.

The next part of the event was the first game entitled, ‘Talong mo at Kamatis ko.’ The game brought laughter to the crowd as it showed the funny sides of the teachers with the game’s mechanics.

Like Suprema, Kwerdas, the singing club, also made their comeback with a performance. They sang a rendition of ‘You are the Reason’ by Calum Scott for the teachers.

The performance was followed by the second game entitled 'Ding, Ang Itlog.' The game's mechanics were to pass and catch the egg without breaking while the players got farther from each other.

After the second game, representatives from each class wore a mask of their advisers and performed a dance. The teachers were called to join their students and dance with them.

The final game was called ‘Teacher Henyo,’ which is a twist on ‘Pinoy Henyo.’ The minds of the teachers were put to the test in the game.

Suprema and Kwerdas then collaborated on a performance dedicated to the teachers. Photos of the hardworking teachers were also displayed.

After the emotional performance, current and former students paid tribute to their beloved teachers through special videos. The videos showed current and former students giving messages to the teachers.

The program ended with the closing remarks from Mrs. Teresita D. De Leon, followed by the singing of the CEU Hymn.
