After two years of battling the pandemic and implementing online distance learning, Centro Escolar Integrated School (CEIS) Malolos held its first-ever face-to-face United Nations Celebration on Friday, October 28, 2022 with the theme "ESCOLARIANS: Igniting the Spirit of Basic Sciences through Communication and Cultural Appreciation."

As early as 8:30 a.m., students gathered in the school's quadrangle dressed in national costumes, representing various countries from around the world.

The program was enthusiastically launched by the masters of ceremonies, Jan Ramil Alarcon and Ingrid Zuñiga, who also welcomed the students to the event. The opening prayer was then conducted, followed by the singing of the national anthem.

The following part of the event featured the heavenly voices of Kwerdas members and the ever-talented dancers from Suprema as they collaborated in performing the opening act to hype up the students before the official start of the event's activities.

The principal of CEIS SHS, Ms. Abigail DC. Espineda then addressed the students in her introductory remarks, highlighting the significance of the event and the need to educate people—especially youths—on the desire to sustain international harmony and peace.

The chairman of this year's United Nations Celebration, Mr. Cedrick Esguerra, also gave his welcoming remarks to the students, primarily wishing them to enjoy the event.

Following that, students from lower grades of CEIS took part in a parade in which each participant dressed as a representative of a different nation.

At precisely 9 a.m., the various country booths, which were managed by Senior High School students, and the promotional video made and presented by Junior High School students, officially welcomed fellow students to their respective rooms and booths with their respective passports that had to be stamped, which was carried out to provide an atmosphere that is comparable when individuals travel to many locations across the world.

Before getting their passports stamped, students were encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities from different countries' booths, including photo booths, mini-games, and educational icebreakers.

Furthermore, booths from the different school organizations (Supreme Student Council, Suprema, Kwerdas, The Escolarian, and Alakdan) were also present and provided students with a variety of goods and services to make the celebration more memorable and remarkable.

Supposedly, the various country booths and rooms were intended to be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but as the typhoon Paeng that day intensified, the event was unexpectedly called off at around 1:30 p.m., once the students were advised to return home immediately for their safety.

Although the event abruptly ended, students were still able to fully enjoy the offered activities, which provided a perfect finish to a hectic and intense week for everyone.
