Last November 11, 2022, the newly elected Supreme Student Council President, Mr. Kohjiroh Iwaki, delivered his gratifying speech as he accepted the responsibility to lead, and be the voice of his schoolmates during the Induction of Officers 2022 at the Centrodome of Centro Escolar University of Malolos.

It is really a big accomplishment to somehow be trusted with something pertinent. As per Kohjiroh Iwaki’s speech, “Being elected is both an honor and a responsibility.” Sure thing, there may be some moments of joy along the way, but there are plenty of tribulations that lie ahead of every celebrated victory. However, Mr. Iwaki also said that “you can be rest assured that your trust will not be in vain because we, the SSC, will do the best of our abilities to live up to your expectations.” Circumstances will never be in their hands, but they can absolutely manage one’s reactions.

He added that he will “consider the positive aspects and look at the brighter side. Just like this one person told me, there would always be a lot of people supporting you. You must therefore, have confidence, and believe in yourself.” In the events of his leadership, together with other SSC officers and their SSC adviser, Mr. Jeffrey Calinao, they will devise plans to accomplish the objectives they set out for the benefit of the entire CEIS community.

Choosing to run for a higher position is a challenging decision to make considering that you never know what may happen. But for Kohjiroh, it looks like it is a calling; the question of "How can they handle such a tremendous responsibility?" has constantly crossed his mind, and he contemplated attempting and seeing if he could have the potential to be a student body president after being chosen numerous times as the group leader for events, projects, and other things. Furthermore, he believes that because he has been elected for the past nine years, he has the ability for this role that other students have seen in him too.

“I commit to exercising caution and accuracy in all of my acts as the student body's leader” he uttered. A leader who understands the importance of taking full responsibility by his own acts. He holds everything liable to his mentors and never misses to keep an eye on the students he serves.

A little push and words of cheer and encouragement for his fellow student leaders who attended the event. He remarks “You deserve everything you have right now, and while it's important to focus on one’s role, please do not forget to enjoy it as well. Since, at the end of the day, we are all students.” Undoubtedly, he is a capable innovator who has the power to influence the thoughts of others through his words.

In his speech, he also stated: “As your Supreme Student Council President, I'll do all in my power to keep the promises I've made and make them into reality. While ensuring that this academic year will be enjoyable and fulfilling to everyone.” He additionally said that he is prioritizing the monthly events, and that he wants students to have fun and not simply focus on their academics. He mentioned that he heard some students say that the previous events were tiresome. However, it was exhilarating and entertaining to express that it was not like the previous years they had in CEIS. His fundamental purpose for running for SSC president is to furnish his colleagues with the enjoyment they deserve.
